December 5, 2009 - BACH on the road.... A very HALFORD X-mas.... RIOT & FATES WARNING recap!
Monday, 11 January 2010 23:55
Hey all,
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Been a while since I updated you on my goings on but I thought I'd put this up now before I leave town and hit the road all the way through early February with only a Christmas / New Year's break in between.
Just shipped my brand new PDP kit to Sebastian (Bach)'s place in New Jersey for rehearsals the other day as we get ready for our upcoming European tour this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing Baz and the guys again. We haven't played together in forever and we'll be rusty I'm sure but we should have it all dialed in by the time we hit the stage in Espoo, Finland with ALICE COOPER. We also have a half dozen headline club shows in Finland, Hungary, Italy, and ending in Russia (first time ever!) on the 21st. I'm tempted to stay an extra day or two to do the tourist thing. Then it's three weeks in Canada with GUNS N' ROSES and DANKO JONES in January into February (see exact tour dates below). Last time we were out with Guns in 2006/'07 was amazing for us so this road reunion should be cool. Can't wait!
October 28, 2009 - Announcing the 'Bobby Jarzombek Metal Grooves MIDI Pack'!
Monday, 11 January 2010 23:26
Platinum Samples have posted a promotional video (see below)of your truly playing 'Platinum Samples Joe Barresi Evil Drums for BFD' on a Yamaha DTXtreme III Special electronic drumkit. 'Bobby Jarzombek Metal Grooves MIDI Pack', co-produced with Rail Jon Rogut at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, CA, is scheduled for release in early 2010.
This is my second foray into MIDI samples following 2007's 'Joe Barresi’s Evil Drums', a six-DVD set released by Platinum Samples, the second BFD Expansion Pack in the company’s Master Engineer Series of drum samples featuring the work of multi-Platinum award-winning producers and recording engineers, including Jim Scott (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, TOM PETTY) and Andy Johns (LED ZEPPELIN, VAN HALEN). Joe Barresi is best known for his production, engineering, and mixing work with acts such as TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, KYUSS, and THE MELVINS.
May 5, 2009 - RIOT.... RIPPER.... THOMSEN.... FATES WARNING & Tales of Knighthood!
Monday, 11 January 2010 22:34
Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I posted anything new. Which doesn't mean I haven't kept busy - far from it. I'm finally settled in back here in Texas and doing live work as well as studio sessions and a bit of teaching at the moment.
My main focus over these past few weeks has been RIOT, the legendary NYC metal band I was a part of between 1987 and 1999. We have put the 'Thundersteel' line-up back together and just had a very productive initial writing sessions. Guitarists Mark Reale and Mike Flyntz came down from New York to join Don Van Stavern and myself after we'd been writing separately and sending files back and forth. But, nothing beats being in a room together and bouncing ideas off of each other. The chemistry between us was back in an instant and everybody is stoked about what we've come up with so far. We should have some thundering steel for you all later in the year. Up next we'll be hitting the road for two high profile European summer festival appearances. We'll be at Sweden Rock on June 6 with Heaven & Hell, Journey, Dream Theater, and Europe, among others, and then fly out to Zaragoza, Spain for Metalway where we are booked on June 20 alongside Children of Bodom, WASP, Blind Guardian and native sons, Baron Rojo. We'll be warming up locally with a show at the Scout Bar here in San Antonio. Tickets for that one go on sale on May 8. Check the Riot MySpace for details.
July 15, 2008 - Road Doggin', Angel Downin' & a Lone Star Return

Hey all!
I'm writing this update from the tour bus as we've just completed our first 6 shows (in a row) on the Poison/Dokken/SEBASTIAN BACH US tour and I finally have a day off.
Looks like we got lucky and avoided the fury of Mother Nature at Rocklahoma - scary to hear about stages collapsing and stuff. Glad nobody got seriously hurt beyond one broken arm. We dodged the rain again the next day at the Moondance Jam in Minnesota - check out our version of Aerosmith's 'Back In The Saddle' and some of the other videos that are already floating around on YouTube.
